Matthew, Rachel, Laura and Sheila went to help out at Braywick Heath Nurseries, and there was plenty of potting up to be done. The nursery is expanding its range of perennials this year, so we were tasked with potting up the plug plants into 3 litre pots which had already been filled with compost. We all took on a different plant type, and soon the bench was full of beautifully potted-up plants complete with colourful labels. After a quick tea-break, we returned to do more of the same, and by the end of the session we had potted up over 300 plants to be sold.

We are a small garden garden centre providing volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with support needs

We run a not-for-profit company, supported by paid staff & community volunteers to provide volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with a wide range of support needs. We are currently having a big clear out across our site, and need help moving all of the material to a skip. This will enable us to better use the space we have to expand our operations and better support our volunteers and staff.
