My first Mission, taking Molly the dog for a walk, as her owner is incapacitated with a broken leg.

Initially Molly was reluctant to go anywhere other than home. Not wishing to drag her along the scorching pavement, I opted to carry her, which she was quite happy with(!). Several more walking refusals followed and Molly was carried several more times before we reached the park.

Once at the Marble Hill Park and in the shade of trees, I started work to establish who was in charge and once Molly accepted that I was boss, she proved to be a charming and well trained companion. Soon we were both enjoying a big circuit of Marble Hill Park.

On our walk we came across Richmond GoodGym's Naomi (who was busy working, having established a glorious home office on a shady park bench) who was equally captivated by Molly.

The way home was much faster with Molly taking the lead. In her eagerness to be reunited with Mrs B, she found the shortest route across the huge lawn in front of Marble Hill House broke into a run.

I'm looking forward to more walks with Molly, as Mrs B recuperates.
