Good Gym gets to the root of the problem!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Sunday, 16th of June 2019
It had been positively bucketing down that morning but two Good Gymers brought the sun with them to one part of South London to help Ms V tidy her garden! Sarah and Ian got organised straight away and began weeding the large selection of plant pots along both sides of the garden. Various weeds were also poking through the paving slabs and turned out to be firmly stuck in place but Sarah got to the root of it, moved the slabs and pots aside, and managed to dig them out making the paving look much neater.
We're gloveing it, gloveing it, gloveing it...we're gloveing it like this!
Ms V continued directing us to where in the garden attention was needed most. The tools Ms V provided came in very handy, especially the gloves, as Ian trimmed back a large spiky bush near the house. Sarah, clearly not rooted to the spot, moved to the end of the garden to work more magic on the paving.
Rocket Science?
The lillies also needed deadheading as did some of the herbs but they were fairly easy because after all, it's not rocket science is it?
Before we knew it our time was up! All in all it looked tidier and Ms V seemed pleased. Credit to Sarah on her first mission, pulling out all the stops to get there despite travel problems.
