GoodGym are On The Level
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Sunday, 11th of March 2018
Mr P wanted to be able to sit at his wooden bench and table, and admIre his garden. So John and Eva headed for Dalston to clear the ground and then move the bench into a position where it could be sat on, without slanting or wobbling. This was more of a challenge than it might sound, as the area was on a slope. We dug holes for the bench-legs but when we inserted the bench, it was slightly lopsided, and wobbled like Lethal Bizzle. And of course, whenever we jacked up one side, the other became too low. But GoodGymers are full of resolve and determination, and with the help of a spirit level, the bench soon sat firm as a rock, so Mr P can now relax and enjoy his garden again.
