Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
On a glorious (at last!) spring day, GoodGym Bristol headed out east along the Avon to Trooper’s Hill for some conservation and clearing.
After a steady 4k run along the river we met with the Friends of Troopers Hill, and split into three groups doing three different tasks – clearing the paths, removing saplings from the heath and chopping back brambles to clear some rubbish including a shopping trolly and a tv!
First timers Doug, Sarah and Charlie were all brilliant, getting really stuck into the task and not minding the odd bramble scratch. I think Doug found his true calling, and would still be there chopping down trees if we hadn’t got him for the run back.
The sun beat down on the way back, putting a spring into our steps as we upped the pace on the way back to the Triathlon Shop in Bristol.
