Most people would probably prefer to be wrapped up at home on a chilly (but dry!) October evening..... but that’s not the case for our hardcore members who rocked up for more digging, raking and pruning at the Mavor court gardens.

Tonight’s task didn’t disappoint with the usual helping of fun, laughter, fitness and friendships.

I’m not sure what Rob, Emily, Maurice and Claire chatted about as they dug their way through root riddled soil but over in the raking and pruning corner, we travelled the world as we chatted about all the places we plan to visit when and if life ever returns to normal.

The highlight of the evening though had to be finding our new mate ‘Henry’. Henry the hedgehog. Discovered curled in a ball amongst the ivy and roots. We were worried that we may have inflicted injury on the poor soul with our rakes but upon closer inspection, we were relieved to discover that he was fine. Phew! Kenny from Guinness (housing) did what he does best and relocated Henry to a nice new home. Hope Henry settles in well.

It was great to see the residents out in force once again helping to make their community garden a nicer place to be.

Well done team GoodGym. So proud to be part of our amazing little family. You never fail to put a smile on my face ❤️
