Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
It was a Super Saturday for GoodGym which started with the announcement of GoodGym's partnership with Park Run, an inaugural GoodGym/ParkRun good deed and then, of course, the regular St Joseph's Jumble Sale clear-up and bric-a-brac photo
No rain, no gain
The rain poured but it didn't put off the bargain hunters and nor did it dampen our spirits: six sensational GoodGymmers congregated in the reception area and were briefed by the St Joseph's Hospice fundraising team.
Thrift, Shift and Lift
As usual we had loads of unsold bargains to clear including:
No wonder the keen-eyed punters are happy to queue up for the jumble sale.
It was Hass' great idea to divide into two teams: the A-Team stayed above ground and filled the lift with bags (and they really did fill it! Photographic evidence attached!) and then sent it down for Team B to unload and carry into the basement. As usual there was some debate about where to stack the bags, tricky trolley/rail manoeuvring and clever tessellation to fit all the stock into neat piles and tight spaces; nothing new with this massive task!
GoodGym rock band
After an hour of power and a final push we were done and ready for our famous (infamous?) bric-a-brac photo. We had 60 seconds to find an unusual item for a group shot including a guitar! Didn't we do well?
Nice one, team!
GoodGym will be back again in November when the jumble sale gets festive (sorry, I know it's early to mention that!)
