Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sam Lefevre (he/him)
Sam having helped out at SE5 Forum on Camberwell Green earlier in the day came to Thorlands early to get the tools and scout out what task the group could do today. Sam also did a quick litter pick as he waited for the others to arrive.
Fi and John arrived at the same time. It was Fi's first good deed ever and Sam gave her the low down and vision of Thorlands before brining the pair of them over to the Forest garden to concentrate on an area where bindweed had been growing along and on the fence.
Jo arrived slightly later and decided to get on top of the brambles that had been growing out of control and some of the tougher weeds.
After an hour and a half, we had five bags of bindweed, brambles and litter as well as transported about four or five wheelbarrows of weeds over to the compost heap. We decided to call it a day, but not before a group photo.
