First up a warm welcome to new runners Will from GG Hammersmith , Andrea, David and Thibault and great to see that the GoodGym magic is getting around St Mary's University following last week's special taster session for students and staff. And lovely to have some more relatively new faces returning for more GoodGym adventures. Plus we had the return of Victoria, the most experienced back marker GG Richmond has. So unlike last week, no chance of getting a) lost or b) left behind this week then. Phew...

Our warm up was extra orderly tonight with a new head count exercise of mid lunge or stretch calling out our number in the circle and our name - that was a multi task challenge in itself. 15 tonight was the magic number.

But no hanging around - we were straight off at a good pace and soon got into a good rhythm as all in all we were running a mighty 10k tonight to Teddington and back. Half a 10k was done with ease by everyone - seriously team well done - we were there before we knew it.

Our venue and task - RUILS on Waldegrave Road who are a charity organisation for independent living - offering services and advice for old people, disabled people, young people and children. By the time some of us back runners arrived, the group had been welcomed by our hosts Cathy and Kirsty, brilliantly briefed, tooled up and kitted out and all set to get to work. Our task for the evening - hanging the most impressive array of pictures created by Ruil's talented clients. Brilliant team work everyone - in a matter of minutes pictures were being measured up, picture hooks screwed into place with great dexterity and impressive combo of manual screwdrivers and a very impressive sounding drill or was it an electric screwdriver? And then the showstopper - the hanging of the first pictures. Drab office walls transformed to a living art gallery.

The return run was a little more mysterious. Another head count before we left and Victoria back marking. Sorted. But then, after the blur of the long run back, Victoria and Andrea in tow were somehow two of the first to finish and no one saw them overtake and yet we were missing another 2 runners- David and Regina. I'm still confused so can only conclude was it Victoria's secret or Mark's loose screw I wonder?

Hope to see some of the regulars back in action next week - with the flurry of autumn races on at the moment, some muscle recovery was calling and a big congratulations to Samia for our impressive time in the Ealing Half at the weekend.
