Morning, Thank you to Wayne for stepping in and writing the report for last night's Group Run. Sorry I couldn't make it, I was dealing with one of my ducks at the vets after an eventful afternoon.

So here it is... enjoy....

Goodgym Woking News:

  • Good luck to Sally-Ann who will be competing in the Prudential Ride London this Saturday. Sally has been training very hard for this event for the last few months, myself, James, Leo and Adam will be showing our support cheering Sally on from one on the checkpoints in our rainbow t-shirts holding up the banner that James is going to create. 😀

  • If anyone wants to join me in tackling the Nuts 7K obstacle course on the 31st Aug click the link for more info https://www.thenutschallenge.co.uk/ I am registered for the 10:30 wave.

Last Night At Goodgym:

Last night we headed off to Pyrford Church Of England School. This was a new new location for us.

We welcomed Katie who has just recently moved to Woking, hopefully are will be seeing more of you.

The task this evening was to sand down the train in the reception play area and then give it a paint and a varnish, the train had not had anything done to it in over 15 years. We had two groups myself, Sally and Katie talking the back part of the train while James, Leo, Adam, and Owen got going on the front we made light work of sanding it down. We then started to paint the trim of the train green while the wood part of the train was getting a varnish wax.

After 40m mins of work the train was looking great, the best it had looked in a long while. We cleared up the area and put the materials way and then headed to the playground for a little bootcamp that Nick was really looking forward seeing us do.

We started by running round of the playgrounds to get warmed up and then Nick hit us with 10 press- ups them straight to 10 shuttle runs this continued each time with another exercise added on the first continuing doing the shuttle runs (James almost caused a collision while doing the sprint🤨)

Once we finished we headed back to the car park all very excited as we new Sally-Ann had brought some cakes that she had baked for a cake bake at work. Well lets just say they all dissapered within seconds ( They were amazing)

Don’t forget to sigh up to next weeks task we will be heading over to the food bank….

Holly here again - *Another apology - I have now updated the Group Runs on the website so August is now up for you to sign up to. Sorry was waiting on confirmation as everyone seemed to be away on holiday at the same time!
