I phoned M whilst she’s still in hospital. She was definitely sounding a bit brighter which was great to hear, and more like her usual self - so I resumed our usual discussion topics of telling her how many times I’ve been drenched in the past week (many, see new photo of trainers drying out), and updated her on how Boris has returned from his holiday. We laughed about how he’s had more time off than me in the past year, and how it’s about time he has another holiday, surely?

M remembered that I’m off to Scotland for the weekend and I said that I hope to either visit or phone her on Thursday.
