Half a mission is still a mission, yes?
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Bromley.
- Thursday, 30th of April 2020
The mission briefing said "dismantle and move a double bed". Normally a task for 2 runners, but on this occasion only 1 and the replacement hospital bed was coming that afternoon. So only half the runners. And it turned out, only half the task as well, because Mr H's carer had already completely dismantled the bed into 5 separate parts - 2 base units, 2 mattresses and a head board. All that remained was some carrying out to and stashing in the garage, which again Mr H's carer was helping with.
Felt like only half a mission, but if it gets Mr H home from hospital and reduces a bit of pressure on the NHS, then still well worth doing.
