Saturday saw myself, Shan and Mike reunited after months apart at Ealing Foodbank. In a stroke of luck, we'd all signed up to help on the same shift and it was so great to feel those GoodGym group vibes, if only on a small scale, once more!

One of the changes made for this week's shift was that all clients at the foodbank now get a choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate instead of the previous pot luck essentials bag provided to each person.

It's the bare necessi-teas!

After a few hours of packing, lifting and sorting we'd helped hand out close to one ton of food to those who need it most. What a brilliant way to spend a Saturday morning!

Helping local people in crisis

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
