Our daring dozen ran nearly 6km to help out the Liverpool Irish Centre on a beautiful spring evening.

What a joy it is to run with a group of good, good people on a sunny spring evening. This week's Group Run took us back to the Liverpool Irish Centre, a project we've visited twice before. Last time we were at the Irish Centre we were hanging Christmas decorations so the evening's light sunny weather was quite a contrast. Even though every traffic light in Liverpool was against us, the run was very pleasant.

Once we reached the centre we were met by Clodagh who set us to work then brought us jugs of squash and packets of biscuits. The task was a general tidy-up and litter-pick around the centre's car park and community garden. The biggest challenges came in the form of a burnt out oil drum and some weird and not so wonderful fly-tipping.

This week's shout out goes to John (a.k.a. the Pun Master) for the inspiration behind this week's title pun, for the third week in a row! As the only Irish member of tonight's crew, this week he may have been at an advantage ;)

After the task we did a fast paced fitness session to get the heart pumping before doing a mini session on spiriting. Well done team for more great work.

Check out the 'happenings' page for all the information you need to get involved in this weekend's Community Missions and find out what else is coming up in April.

Until next week, happy running <3
