Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kash
For their last mission of the day, Sevan and Kash chose to revisit the location where their gardening alliance was established. Coming back to help Ms C felt like a déjà vu. When Kash rang the bell for the third time, there was still no response. A quick call from Sevan to Ms C uncovered that she was again "at the top of the road", making her way back home. The "top of the road" was a bit of an overstatement. When GoodGymers arrived at the crossroads, the lady in question was nowhere to be seen.
Finally, Ms C appeared suddenly on the street with her trusted trolley and an explanation that she went to a shop by bus to buy Sevan and Kash some lollies and treats as a thank you gesture. The trio started a slow, steady stroll back to Ms C's home, with Kash in front with the trolley and Sevan as a rearguard, making sure Ms C is not going to fall.
It was 30 minutes after the scheduled start time when the gardening team actually could get their hands dirty. Ms C's primary request was to trim the rose bushes to Sevan's height which she considered perfect. Unsurprisingly, Sevan was the only right person to carry out that task. He was also responsible for cutting the unruly stems around the fence to make sure the representatives of the neighbour's garden flora don't have inappropriate relations with Ms C's plants. At the same time, Kash busied herself with weeding, eliminating blackberries and showing off her biceps when carrying water buckets.
As a reward for making sure all the plants have been watered, Ms C kindly watered Sevan and Kash. She also kept her promise and offered GoodGymers the lollies but there were no takers. The assignment was finished on a slightly painful note - by stuffing the thorny stems into the green bags. As the saying goes: no pain no gain - the experience will make us stronger for our next mission.
