A small but mighty group headed to the Refugee Council Allotment to tackle the overgrown allotment plot.

It was a big task and with a small group we set ourselves 30min to see how much progress we could make, and progress we did make! The plot was looking a lot less overgrown than it did when we arrived.

We might not have had hoes to get rid of the weeds but we did have rakes which did a good enough job.

It was Abi's last run before the move to Bristol and we'll be sad to see you go. You smiled through every task you've ever done and I hope GG Bristol have those 3/4 sized tools, if not then we'll always have them for you as Lewisham can always be your home GG!

Next week is everyones favourite task, putting the Christmas decs up at Seniors. Just a reminder that there will be no run back to Glass Mill as we're going for a post-group run drink at Blythe Hill Tavern!

Support with clearing an overgrown allotment

We will be starting an allotment for our client resettled refugees in Lewisham but are looking for support to clear the space so that we can get started. We can also discuss more long-term voluntary support if that is of interest!
