Holiday cottages and alpaca treats!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.

Today I went to visit Mrs. D, I cycled there and back, taking the scenic route on the way back, along the Thames river, making the most of a beautiful not too hot summer day. Mrs. D's son was there when I arrived; he said that my visits really help brighten Mrs. D's day and they were very grateful for it. This was so wonderful to hear, it really made my day!
We got talking about holidays and I got my phone out to look up a few places that Mrs. D's son has been heartily recommending, including holiday cottages where alpacas are your neighbours! We had to find what alpacas like for treats and then I wrote down a list so that next time they'll go there, they'll know what to take bribe and try to befriend them. That's carrots, apples, broccoli stalks, turnips, if anyone wants to know.
Mrs. D was very impressed with the internet and how easily we got all that information. She hadn't seen alpacas before, so we made sure we checked out lots of cute llama and alpaca photos.
And she asked me if I have shown you her cat Felix's photo, and I assured her that I have and I have also told his story and that you all loved it!
