Like Kash & Sevan's furniture building mission last weekend, they arrived to find bits of flat pack furniture all over the floor. Mr B was flummoxed by the instructions and the fact that he needed to build the chest of drawers himself as he hadn't chosen them, a family member had gifted them to him. A recent stroke meant that he couldn't follow the instructions, so he'd recently contacted a handyman to help him out.

"How much to build these drawers for me?" - Mr B "Oooh."
"Hmmm."
"Oh."
"Hmmm." - Handyman
"So can you build it or not?" - Mr B
"Hmmm."
"I'll get back to you." - Handyman

A few days later

"I can build it for £150" - Handyman
"That's more than the drawers cost to buy!" - Mr B

Mr B was desperate to have the drawers put together as he was unsteady on his feet and had already fallen 3 times because of the pieces hanging around his bedroom. He thought that the handyman was taking advantage of him. Luckily he was being supported by Befriend who knew just the people to help him and get his clothes into some freshly built drawers... GoodGym!

Mr B was chatty, talking to the team about he and his family's interesting past. Kash and Sevan were interested by the stories and also wanted to get on with building as it looked like a big job. Drawers always made things more time consuming. When Mr B wasn't talking to the team, he was watching Homes Under The Hammer, thinking how his old skills as a plasterer could be put to use repairing the run down houses.

Unlike last week's mission, Mr B's old occupation meant that there was a full set of tools including a mallet, which was really useful. There were no pesky Ps this week, being replaced by Ls that looked identical as the furniture was from the same manufacturer. The mallet made short work of the Ls as Kash speedily whacked them into their designated holes, so this week, no war was declared.

With the great selection of tools, the GoodGymers were able to divide and conquer, meaning by the end of the 90 minute mission the carcass was mostly complete and 2 drawers neatly slid onto the bottom positions. They looked like a chest of drawers, no longer a collection of grey wooden slats causing a trip hazard on the floor.
