On a pleasant autumn evening three of Goodgym Redbridge's finest runners met to get fit and tidy up the grounds of Wanstead House Community Association. And guess what? They ran 5km in the process.

The House is the home of Goodgym Redbridge and used by many of the local community groups to host a range of classes. From tai chi to flower arranging, chess club to astronomy, it all happens at Wanstead House Community House and all for a tiny sum of money. As a community project that really gives back to the local people we love helping out around the house and earning our keep.

After a short run around the streets of Wanstead and Snaresbrook, the team set about tidying the front garden of the house which seems to attract crisp packets, sweet wrappers and various drinks bottles. Not a huge task but one that keeps the place looking spic and span.

With the task and run done, it was down to in-house physio, Ellie to lead us through some gentle stretches aimed at working on imbalances and easing aches and pains. Great work Ellie.

Fancy getting involved? Why not join is next week when we head to The Forest Recycling Project to mix paint and get a little bit messy. You can sign up here.
