Team 17

17 runners met at Weavers Adventure Playground (WAP) for this morning's busy line-up. Keen, raring to go, and not a face covering in the world capable of hiding the GoodGymers beaming eyes as they met for WAP: The Saturday Edition.

Wait: where did the sun go?

With the sun splitting the stones at 10am, the 10.56 heavens-opening was something of a surprise. But torrential rain is no match for task owner Alex, who'd already thought ahead and planned 70% of the tasks indoors and under cover.

And so Team 17 headed to their tasks:

  • The Deck Squad headed out into the rain getting drenched as they removed decking once again. Rohan, Izzy, and Nina were later joined by Stephen and Elena as they got thoroughly denched.

  • The Drawer Drillers (also including Boris's one-man Solvent Squad ) headed up by Joel and Sian worked rapidly assembling units negotiating tricky tools.

  • Elena's one woman team of shutter-scrubbing and cleaning wasted no time in blitzing the task before headed to the deck; ditto Stephen's indoor clearing job.

  • Johnny, Heather and Zoe formed Painting Part I, and tasked with painting the store cupboard, moving carefully and quickly around one another to blitz the job in the time available.

  • ..while Painting Part II in the upstairs store room consisted of Becs, Jess, Eimear, Lucy and Paula.

A glorious site to see so many GoodGymers working safely, productively and socially. Let's hear it for a spacious Saturday task. And we'll be back to Weavers very very soon...Watch this space.
