Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's an absolute scorching day here on the cricket field! The sun is beating down with all its might, turning this beautiful green pitch into a fiery inferno. The players out there must be feeling the heat, quite literally!
When I reached Mr.K's house, he was already waiting near the apartment's main door and opened it as soon as he saw me trying to press the doorbell.
The World Test Championship final between India and Australia was running on TV. Mr.K handed me a sticky note which had the shopping list.
Mr.K is an avid fan of cricket and we had some nice conversations about that while discussing the match on TV. Also, he is a Chelsea supporter and had some cool posters of old Chelsea players in his living room. Soon Australia declared their 2nd innings and set a mammoth target for India to chase. I on the other hand had a smaller target as the shopping list only consisted of 5 items.
I went to Sainsbury nearby which is a 15-minute walk and completed the shopping in 10 minutes. India started their second innings and slowly moved towards the goal and I reached Mr.K's house around 3 pm. Mr.K is supporting India today and was telling me no wickets have fallen down yet as he was putting the Rump Steak in the fridge and India lost their wicket.
The wicket always falls when I'm not looking at the Telle - Mr.K
I told him I'll be going to Richmond next when he asked what I'll be doing for the rest of the evening. Mr.K is still in the learning process of using the intercom doorbell, so he came to the main door to say his goodbyes. There we met a young boy from the apartment who helped us sort out the mail and took out the unwanted flyers to the bin. Mr.K said he tried his best to convert that Young Liverpool supporter to Chelsea one without much luck.
