Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Tonight we ran between just between 6 and 7kmto promote the Clocktower Community Market in South Norwood by delivering over 350 leaflets!
Still sticky and humid this evening but definitely noticing the nights are starting to draw in! So tonight we headed off to help promote a local community market held monthly in South Norwood by leafleting the streets in the local area. Rather than just pound the streets we took a little detour through the Addiscombe Railway Park where we also spent some time lunging up the slope towards the end of the park – great for the legs and bottoms!
We spilt into 4 groups and maps in hand leafleted up and down the streets of Addiscombe/South Norwood until we’d run out of leaflets. Being super speedy tonight the leaflets were all finished earlier than planned so we recreated a bit of the Rio magic by having a relay race along the street which was declared a dead heat. There was still about a mile left to run to get back to base so we had a game of chase which really seemed to make people run faster than normal and even had some energy for a couple of hill sprints close to the end. Definitely one of the hotter, sweatier runs so well done.
We also had a new member today Laura - so a big welcome to her and hope to see you in your red t-shirt very soon. Rachel promoted GoodGym internationally in Iceland last week and I’ll be doing the same in Portugal next week so let’s see if we can keep up the good work and upload our photos to the GoodGym Croydon Group on Facebook and Instagram with the ♯GGCroydonontour
Next week you will be led by Lucy and will be heading down to the Salvation Army where you’ll either be painting or gardening so maybe bring an old t-shirt to avoid ruining your GoodGym shirt. Donations of clothes , in particular men’s, are also welcome.
Here is the link to join up.
