On a hot and sweaty summer evening, eight of Goodgym's finest runners met to strip and paint ironwork and ran 5km in the process.

It's been two years in the making but tonight's run and task coincided with Trainer James's 100 task at Goodgym Redbridge. Big shout out to Peter for the [laminated] sign and celebratory muffin! If this wasnt enough Siobhan joined the group from Newham for the first time and Emdad also attended his first meeting ever! Nice work guys.

With the housekeeping done, it was time to continue with the mammoth task of stripping back the rusty mental work that surrounds Wanstead House and get on with the painting. We've been working on tasks around the House for the past two years and having painted all the fences around the building our current task is to make the metalwork look shiny and new - this is no easy task believe me. Armed with wire brushes, paint scrapers and paint brushes, the gang set to task, working up a decent sweat in the process.

With 45 minutes on the clock it was time to head out to Epping Forest for some exercise and to check out how much damage has been done as a result of the recent fire. 5km around Eagle Pond and the evenings proceedings were at an end. Great work team and see you next week!
