Thank you to GoodGym’s Rosie TARLETON for volunteering this week. Rosie recorded all the unreadable barcodes and sorting barcodes at the end. Rosie has taken all the photos for this run report so thank you Rosie 😊

🌳 Norwich parkrun No: 454 ⏱ Total Finishers: 475 😊 First Ever parkrun: 57 🏆 PB’s: 65 👟 Different Clubs: 28 ❤️ Volunteers: 21
The Norwich parkrun team have worked hard to ensure that the parkrun carries on whilst maintanence to the paths are being carried out. The work is still being carried out with a changed route which has a few tight turns. Rosie reported that there were April sunshine and showers throughout this mornings parkrun.
I snook off to the East Coast parkrun in Singapore early doors at 7:30am to beat the heat... hmm... it was still boiling. Fellow Goodgymmer from Greenwich Linda Boscic spotted my GoodGym top and came over and we chatted about our shared love of all things GoodGym and parkrun!
Love parkrun? Give some love back by volunteering!
Volunteer on a Saturday morning during the month of April at Norwich parkrun (Eaton Park). Meet at the bandstand at 8:30am with the run director and the other high-viz heroes. You will have a full briefing of the mornings events and how to best support everyone participating at parkrun.
Tasks are varied and include: marshalling, scanning, giving out & sorting finish tokens, tail - walker and many more. All of the tasks are explained in full, easy to do and the tasks are a fun insight into how parkrun runs! The volunteering role usually finishes around 10-10:30am.
Volunteering is great for example if you become injured, are just getting into running, or even have a race on the following Sunday!
If you want to give back to the parkrun community & gain new experiences then parkrun volunteering is for you. You will receive a point on your parkrun profile & if you volunteer 25 times you will gain a free purple 25 volunteer t-shirt! If you would like to volunteer at Norwich parkrun and in turn receive a Goodgym good deed you will need to email: norwichhelpers@parkrun.com to let them know you are able to volunteer. Also let them know in your e-mail that you are part of Norwich Goodgym! Because we work with vulnerable adults and our runners participate at their own risk, participants need to be over 18. Looking forward to seeing you there, Hayley - Norwich parkrun Volunteer Organiser
