13 Goodgymers ran 4km to help Cecil Sharp House with the last leaf clearance of the year!
Thanks for coming along guys, I know it's a busy period - great to see you all!
Big news of the week is that we will be doing the Camden Starter Session on Saturday 5th January and there will be a walking option - tell your friends :)
After we'd warmed up we headed on our normal route to Cecil Sharp House, the home of English Folk Song and Dance. Each month for nearly three years we've helped Susannah (Head Gardener) help look after the permaculture garden. This is used by the public for events and the community for educational activities.
Final Leaf Clearance!
Susannah told us that this will be our last leaf clearance of the season, all the leaves have fallen but not all were collected. With our Christmas hats on and Patrick's Christmas music pumping we got to work. Using brooms, rakes, grabbers and bags we cleared the pathway, the lawn and the flowerbed of leaves in the back garden.
After 20 mins we were finished! We packed as many bags of leaves into Susannah's car which will be taken to an allotment where it'll turn in to mulch, which will then feed the garden.
We then took on our 12 exercises of Christmas - getting ready for our nut roast (meat option available):
12 star jumps 11 high knees 10 hops 9 Lunges 8 squats 7 calve raises 6 one legged hop 5 other leg 4 kicks 3 hip opener 2 tuck jumps 1 cheer
After smashing our fitness session we headed home for an early finish and a pint. Nice!
See you next year guys.
