Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Elizabeth
My back-to-back GoodGym day reunited me with Rupesh following our community mission this morning at Clitterhouse farm.
For this mission, I was excited to be revisiting my second ever mission beneficiary, Ms J, to help her pack to move (I previously helped her pack to move, so as well as being back-to-back, this mission I was also going back to pack!). She'd had some help from some GoodGymmers the other week, and they'd obviously done a good job if she wanted us back again!
After we arrived, Rupesh and I started by packing some clothes into some garment bags, before taking down some net curtains and some clothes hooks that were attached to walls. To be honest, it was mostly Rupesh who did this, because I work better in theory than in practice. However, I made myself useful by offering to pack some clothes that were currently in drawers.
This suggestion opened up a whole can of worms. Ms J wasn't too sure whether or not the clothes from the drawers needed to be packed, and so gave the movers a ring to check. Unfortunately, the movers couldn't find her booking details, which made her a bit anxious! However, we managed to help her find them, call them back again and reassure her that everything was, in fact, still booked for Monday. She was so relieved, she gave us a thank you hug and offered us some refreshments! Unfortunately, Rupesh and I both had to run off and so couldn't stay, but we both very much appreciated the offer 😊
And so, after an hour of helping out, Rupesh and I made our goodbyes and took a traditional selfie in the victorious style. See you again soon, Rupesh! 😄

Great job both! Favourite quote, 'I work better in theory than in practice' LOL
