I’m leafing on a wet train, don’t know when I’ll be back again...
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Croydon.
- Wednesday, 27th of November 2019
It wasn’t so much black Friday as wet Wednesday, when Jamie and Ian paired up near the centre of town to help Mrs S with her enormous garden!
Mrs S and her husband have a beautiful garden and the main problem at this time of year is fallen leaves which covered the grass, decking and paths. Mrs S had recently managed to clear some away but was hoping we could improve on it and provided us with rakes and brooms.
Did I mention it was raining? The leaves stuck to everything so it took a long time to gather them together in a wheelie bin and leaf an impression on the garden. It was a releaf when the rain stopped and the sun finally came out.
Mrs S was very grateful and we had an interesting chat with Mr S as we finished up.

The leaf puns - brilliant! Well done for persevering with the mission despite the rain!
