Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
30 GoodGymers litter picked in a local park and ran 6.5km in Camden!
Primrose Hill was alive last night with GoodGymers practising their technique but but before that we headed to a local park in Somers Town to do some litter picking - filling 5 bags full of rubbish - great work! This local park is used by residents of all ages including children so it's fantastic to give it a tidy up.
5 bags full of rubbish!
After collecting all the litter picks and bin bags back at Somers Town Community Centre we did an active warm up including high knees and heel flicks. We then all collected together to go for a lovely run through the streets of Camden borough to Primrose Hill.
Once under the wonder of Primrose Hill we focused on our hill running technique as named by Pritesh later - our ALP session:
Arms - keep them powering and do not cross your body
Legs - lift those knees high as you go up hill
Posture - keep your back straight
For each technique we went 1/5 of the way up the hill in pairs - everyone looked wonderful! The real test then came - to combine all of the ALP session and run all the way to the top of Primrose Hill. Everyone made it and the view was certainly worth the climb - nice group picture guys.
On our return to Somers Town we were honoured by Liv Rowe's inaugural yoga stretch of the week - corrrrr that was good - more to come from Liv 'Yoga Teacher' Rowe
Lastly a big well done to Tom Benson who received his GoodGym wings this week - wow, 100 good deeds - impressive stuff mate!

AIC's cold weather shelter helps 16 Londoners each and every week - you'll be making sure things are ready and inviting for the evening's guests :)
