Kudos to our team of Trafford GoodGym-ers who ran to help the Gorgeous Gorse Hill project get their Pocket Paradise ready for the colder months.

We gathered at our base location of St Matthew's Community Hall in Stretford at 6.30pm where we welcomed lovely newbie Katie (welcome to Trafford, Katie!!) and had a chat about the task and our opportunities to support missions with older people in Trafford by getting verified, don't forget to bring your ID next time! Once warmed up (hasn't it gone chilly?!) we set our Stravas and popped off up the road.

We met Ruth who explained to us about the GGH project and that our help on the lovely Pocket Paradise (look out for it fellow Traffordians, it's just after the canal bridge on Chester Road with planters and large ironwork installations that you can now see...) would really start off the cold weather prep well.

Tools in hand the team set about "brutalising" the ivy and deadheading like pros, and again we learnt some new gardening tips and info which we have added to our GoodGym Trafford collective brain for future reference.

thank you so much, you have made a big difference!

We so were gratified that our efforts revealed the lovely ironwork installations whilst we had been chatting about all stuff GoodGym and all manner of other things, we downed tools and celebrated our handywork with a game of "wang the ivy" onto the compost pile. It's the small things in life! Well done to Lou who is our current champ!

Once we had cleared up we ran back down to St Ms and did a fitness circuit to round off the evening including some running drills, glute and arm work. Well done guys!

All in all, another successful Group run evening and we left with morale on a high!
