My second mission of the day took me to South Ealing to tick everything off the shopping list for Mrs U and her husband.

Hands sanitised, money and list picked up, and off to the big Tesco’s I went, joining the end of a very long line out the front in the glorious spring sunshine. They say it takes two to tango, but it took a queue to tan, though! Once inside I worked around the labyrinth of a shop, filling my trolley with Mrs U’s groceries. Unfortunately, there weren’t quite all the items on her list in the store, so I made a little detour on the way back to an independent grocers.

The good news was that the second shop had the missing items. The bad news was that it was at the bottom of a hill. And they only had extra big bags of Chapatti Atta. All in the name of a good deed, I lugged 10kg of flour (as well as a kilo of sugar, a kilo of pasta, four cans, two jars and a massive box of shredded wheat!!) up the slope and back to Mrs U’s. A second soup-er mission of the day completed.
