If you're happy and you know it clap your ham...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

And I feel like I'll be clapping myself to sleep tonight after my mission to help Mrs A with some shopping! I think you can tell from my smile how I was feeling, however non instaham worthy the photo is!! It was fabulous to catch up with Mrs A again as we had our socially distanced chat, and brilliant to hear that she'd managed to see some of her family recently, so of course they've been helping with her shopping for the last couple of weeks.
I was reminded today, that of course for every moment of joy that a mission like this brings someone like me, it's often the opposite for someone else, like a family member who cannot visit a loved one. Life is still very difficult for the beneficiaries of these tasks too. I'm able to pull on the red GoodGym jersey of joy and do something for someone else, hopefully spreading a bit of that joy around; for this I'm truly grateful.
I couldn't get everything on Mrs A's list today unfortunately, one item being the Gala pie. Apparently that's only superstore-worthy!! Until today I didn't know the name, although I've seen the pie staring out with it's one beady 'eye' from the fresh aisle before.
The elusive frozen doughnuts, which I know exist (or at least did), were yet again nowhere to be found. Maybe next time...
