In brief, the sign was trouble

Another successful parkrun mission as I volunteered to give the first timers briefing to everyone heading to Perry Hall or to parkrun for the first time. It's a great and simple job as you are given a crib sheet and you can take part in the run as well. Which I did, after doing my bit of public speaking. I stuck around to catch up with friends and parkrun organisers before heading off to another mission. While waiting I bumped into Richard who I posed with in the picture, who was a regular at Goodgym Birmingham before starting military training at Sandhurst. This also gave me the opportunity to be part of a group of adults trying to put the Perry Hall sign away, making the run director laugh as half a dozen usually competent people stood scratching their heads and trying to work out the physics of folding.
