Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

The fateful words had been uttered โ€œitโ€™ll be a nice lightning taskโ€! So we should have expected a few bumps along the way! ๐Ÿ˜‰

After a visit earlier today from some GoodGym runners to remove a mattress and a bed, our job this evening was to put them back again, and instead make space in the lounge for a hospital bed to arrive!

Unfortunately when we arrived the local warden gave us different instructions which meant that we spent the first 30 minutes trying to move the bed out of the bedroom and into the lounge. Every possible angle, pivot and tilt were tried, but unfortunately without a trusty GoodGym adjustable spanner this bed was going nowhere fast!

While the old bed was half in and half out of the bedroom the lorry arrived with the hospital bed and the warden also said she had to leave for the evening! After some speedy kirbside negotiations with the delivery driver we were able to put the original bed back into the bedroom and then make some space in the lounge just in time for the new bed to squeeze in!

Beds made and topped off with cuddly toys, we left the flat and hope that the resident gets to leave hospital tomorrow and enjoys being back at home again.

Well done, both! Perhaps not the most straightforward, but will be a real reassurance for Mrs J on coming home.
