The joys and challenges of finding a new address came clearly to the fore today, with estates in Hackney sometimes more confusing than a labyrinth.

Some local knowledge did come in handy, meaning I got there even a little early. Keeping an eye out for Ramon, i noticed someone looking through the curtains and waving at me, so I had a little chat with Miss L in anticipation of Ramon appearing, discussing the task at hand - a cabinet had to be moved across the room to create more space for a proper bed for her mum Miss C and the hoist to fit next to it.

Turns out, what you see on TV isn't always very real, it wasn't as straightforward to open the locked door on the cupboard as they always make it seem - it stayed firmly locked. Which just meant we had to be extra careful not to break any of the fragile items inside when lifting off the top half of the cabinet to be moved. Top half down & put aside, the bottom half moved to the designated corner, with the top half joining it soon after - not a crack in any item!

In & out in a matter of minutes, cabinet parts up & down even quicker

A very grateful Miss L was made to smile even wider when the ever charming Ramon thought he misplaced some kit and knocked on her door again, only to discover he checked the wrong pocket just when she opened the door.

A little catch-up and the obligatory selfie followed before going back to our respective plans - the next meet yet to be confirmed for Monday or Tuesday.
