A few Good Gym members came together to help the Friends Of Friary Park. This is one of our longest runs from the Phoenix Cinema at 5 km. Kirsten, Richard and Paul were up for the challenge. We warmed into the effort with a slow pace along East Finchley High Street then picking up pace through Glebelands Open Space and finally reaching in the park just in time to meet Cloud, Richard and Yvonne. Using head torches we set about clearing up storm damage which involved removing broken branches to a composting area. To finish we cleared and swept the paths near the CAFE.We then set off back to the Phoenix. We couldn’t resist a stop at a ice cream parlour, ( particularly Kirsten!) for saffron ice cream and a detox smoothie, this certainly helped us with the final couple of kilometres. Where else but GoodGym could you have such a bizarre evening!

Thanks Paul for your entertaining report and photos. You are always welcome here and there’s always something to do in the park. Next time we’ll be able to meet in the daylight!
I’ll look forward to hearing from you on due course.
Best wishes,
Richard
