Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Last night was cold. Really cold. But it didn't matter because our hearts were warm... Oh OK, that's cheesy. I couldn't think of a good opener. It's not easy this report writing thing you know. I was trying to be nice.
There were lots of new faces, who were as lovely as the old faces... it always amazes me how genuinely lovely Goodgym runners are... i've never met such a great group of people. So yes, anyway, there was loads of you, which was good as there was loads to do at Brixton and Norwood Foodbank and you guys got stuck in... and genuinely did make a big difference (as opposed to me, who fannied about taking photos.. as did Benson who also provided some pics).
A bit of a change up from the usual digging and moving stuff... there had been a massive of delivery of donated food ready for Christmas. We had pens, we had to write stuff on stuff.... and concentrate and that. I don't know about you but my brain was well tired after.
Then there was the two mile trek there (up hill) and two miles back (down hill.... like lightening bolts).... followed by the mince pies... what more could we ask for from a night?
There is still more to do at the food bank and if anyone wants to head back over the next week or so, I will have details of times that Elizabeth will need help and i'll pop them in the site.
Have a great week x
