Leonard’s front and back garden were both very overgrown, with brambles, nettles and other unidentified, 5-6ft weeds! Kat and I got to work on the front garden first, with Kat doing a great job chopping back all the brambles and nettles, leaving Leonard a clearer view from his windows. We also cleared weeds from the path, and cut back large bushes which made walking into the home easier for Leonard. Clearing the space revealed a huge number of bugs, snails and caterpillars (hence the title) including an unusual yellow and black moth. For the last 45 minutes we got to work on the back garden, chopping back the tall plants and bringing much more light into Leonard’s kitchen. At times the task felt overwhelming, but by the end we could see we’d made a big difference.
