Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Dom Tooze (he/him)
On a baking Saturday morning, Juliet and I ran hopped boundaries to reach Ms E in Greenwich.
She's moving in a month or so, and while most things are in hand, none of the organisations helping her move furniture were willing to bring a (slightly massive) filing cabinet downstairs. She's got the collection arranged and just asked if some runners could come by to bring it down to the driveway where somebody had agreed to collect it from.
Juliet and I sized up the task and got started. Some of my favourite missions are the ones where you pause early on, wonder if the task might actually be impossible, but then suss it out and find a way to get it sorted. Taking the drawers out seperately, moving some precariously placed picture frames, and perfect coordination and communication (think: the dudes driving the massive robots in Pacific Rim) saw us through.
We had a quick chat with Ms E about GoodGym and what we get up to, and then ran on off to the rest of our Saturdays! (and Juliet, very impressively, to her second mission of the day!)

I had visions of a file cabinet flattened Dom at times during this task🙈
