Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
So on my first day back from leave I was super happy to find the following in my inbox. Big shouts to Paul for coming all the way down from Bristol to volunteer for this - your presents was much appreciated!!
" Play Days is my favourite and best
Often my mum or dad will say they is too very tired to get out of bed on Sunday and I will have to watch Octonauts or Wiggles on the telly vision until they are waked up.
But with a Play Days Sunday they can wear their bestest red T shirt and go down The Hub at Lordship Rec where they can play rounders and catch the flag and do laughing with the lady what does laughy ogre (or something like that*). Also they is allowed to blow huge gigantic soap bubbles and do musical chairs and pass the parcel.
I think they should probably have this every Sunday instead of doing a lie in.
Play Days run events for adults based around activities that are all too often reserved for children including rounders, Ultimate Frisbee, skipping ropes, hula hooping, crafts, colouring in, story books & even face painting.
It was great to receive such a friendly welcome - and fun meeting everyone while we put up the Gazebo, moved chairs, put out tables and manned the welcome desk together - but especially while we were all kids again for a day.
(*Laughter yoga is brilliant for the core) "
