It's clear to see... the end of the garden
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Sunday, 4th of December 2016
Kike and Sarah turned up at Mr C's garden to continue the good work already started by some GoodGym Runners a few weeks ago. Mr C is unwell so can't manage his garden at the moment, and it had become quite overgrown. The advance team had spent three hours tackling the worst of it and it was left to us to finish the job.
Sarah had just set a new PB at the Regent's Park 10k so was full of energy (and embarrassingly, still wearing her race number and medal). It had changed from a frosty morning to a beautiful sunny day, perfect gardening weather.
Three large shrubs got a severe haircut and then we set to the satisfying task of digging out the roots of various smaller plants that had been chopped back by the previous team.
Two hours and 8 bags full of garden waste later, the garden was clear. Mr C is looking forward to sitting out in it and recuperating when the weather gets better in spring.
