Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lucy Hill
Foolish Lucy had signed up for this urgent mission at 19:00, and as the biggest football game in the history of football games neared the final quarter, I was starting to regret my good intentions.
Luckily, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane pulled it out of the bag. No need for extra time, no need for penalties and ENGLAND BEAT GERMANY!!!!!
Once the victory was secured, I rushed off the Ms D’s, being cheered on by the English fans in the street (I had swapped my red GoodGym tee for a white one with three lions for the day). Lucky Ms D had a good neighbour, and she had gone out to top up Ms D’s gas and electricity meter keys for her earlier in the day. Ms D did however have a cheeky request, and instead of popping to the shops for the top-up, she asked if I could grab her a few bits of shopping instead.
On my way to and from the Nisa Local, I was greeted to cheers of ‘It’s coming home’. Just like the bag of bananas and custard, it was indeed coming home.
Apologies but in the excitement of it all, I didn’t take any photos. So have this one instead.
