It was lovely to be reunited with the Wishing Well tonight after what felt like a very long time (that’s winter for you!!). It’s been such a long time since we did any work in their garden, and it was nice to be back and to be impactful at the same time.

It was equally wonderful to have Karen and Maurice back from their recent Parkrun tourism and I enjoyed hearing about some of the things they got up to on their fantastic trip.

It’s fair to say that we had our work cut out this evening… Maurice set to work with the mower after Gill had kindly got us off to a good start before we even arrived. It really was a case of one man went to mow a meadow! ;)) While Maurice mowed, Karen set to work on clearing the raised beds of all the weeds, and Nicola weeded the path. We probably didn’t achieve as much as we would’ve liked, but we definitely made a big difference. And by not finishing it all, at least it gives us an opportunity to go back for another visit!

Once we’d packed away our tools, we walked down to the Town Square to have a look at the Manchester Bee Monument....A monument which has been produced from guns and knives in an attempt to reduce violence with weapons. It really was a sight to see and really impressive.

Well done Karen and Maurice on completing another fantastic task. You’re both amazing.

Wishing Well.... We'll be back!!

Have a great week. Lots of love Nicola xxx
