Ahh, a warm Sunday afternoon. The perfect time to work on the garden! Or for myself, Richard, Alice and Dave, the perfect time to work on Mr M's back garden!

Having just finished the long half marathon at the Bath Running Festival, I came straight over and managed to meet the others at 2, when we went in and started to work on the weeds that were prospering. Mr M had some great tools, including a brand new gardening fork, for us to pull everything up with.

Quickly we developed a smooth and beautiful system, where three of us pulled weeds out and the fourth bagged everything up and swept the remaining bits off the path. As we thoroughly de-weeded, we met a wonderful cat who wanted to relax in the sunny back garden, and talked about upcoming race plans and training runs.

The first to leave was Alice, who had a Sunday roast to attend. The rest of us stayed a little longer to make sure everything was clear, leaving a wonderful-smelling mint plant. Once the rest of the garden was completely clear of weeds (enough to fill six bags!), we headed off. Another lovely Sunday afternoon doing some good!
