This week 8 fabulous GoodGym-ers braved the torrential rain to run to Down Lane and help clean the old Bowling Club.

We were greeted by GG newbie Anna – give her a cheer!

After a quick indoor warm up, we were ready for a quick outdoor warm up, before heading down to the green. We all needed a little coaxing to go back into the downpour, but as always: once you're running, it's actually alright.

Ollie kept me company at the front of the pack, while Dave was my trusty back-marker. We decided to go a more direct route than normal, skipping the extra loop we usually do.

Once on site, Laura allocated out tasks and the team got to work. Claire and Anna swept outside, while everyone else got to work indoors. Bonus points to Claire for braving some of the scariest spiders Harringey had to offer.

Senay defied gravity with some table-top ceiling vacuuming, Emily cleaned out the toilets, Francis and Ollie mopped the floors and Dave tried picking a lock. So close, Dave. So close.

When all the tasks were done and dusted it was time for our fitness session. Quick bonus task of table moving to get the carpet clear and we were ready: 5 4 3 2 1 PYRAMID Burpees, Press-ups, Sit-ups, Tuck jumps, Tricep dips. Well done Dave for being so speedy!

We then said our goodbyes and ran back to base. This time Anna kept me company at the front, as we bounded over numerous puddles along the way.

Shout out to Claire for coming up with this week's pun AGAIN. Fourth week in a row. And for signing up for her first half!

Don't forget about the social tomorrow

And come along to Barnet's 1st Birthday on 15 Aug! Sign up here. There will be cake!

See you next week!
