Report written by Sam Lefevre (he/him)
Straight after parkrun, Sam met up with a few residents from Camberwell Triangle to help them create a woodchip path from the estate to the allotments.
Thinking that he was by himself, he was pleasantly surprised to see Tracey, who signed up last minute!
Together, they pulled up the old slabs that were deemed dangerous (trip hazard) and set them aside, although seven slabs were kept to make a stepping stone path.
After levelling the soil that remained, they put down the membrane to ensure no weeds would grow through and pegged it down.
They only needed three and a half wheelbarrows of mulch/woodchip to cover the membrane before another three barrows worth was put down for the stepping stone path.
All in all, a productive hour and a half and great to see this space developing after bring over the wooden planks last time.
