David arrived after a 22km run from his coach visit to greet Kate and Samia strolling along the 26m walk from Samia's 100th good deed celebration brunch! This story starts with a very warm welcome from Mr and Mrs C. The positivity and enthusiasm for our visit was well received. Throughout our ivy snipping, Mr C was close by offering praise for our hard work. Mr C was so pleased and kept the encouragement coming saying that we were "brilliant, wonderful, superb, amazing, fantastic, splendid, marvelous, excellent and really great!" We've never felt so appreciated and wondered whether he was sneaking off to his thesaurus when we weren't looking.

After each brief disappearance, Mr C'd reappear with another empty box! The boxes seemed to be multiplying! They weren't in short supply! It was great to have such a clear 'cut' mission of ivy snipping. Samia was aiming high when Mr C brought out the ladder for David. Kate reassured David that she would stand by to break his fall if needed to support him on the ladder! During our ivy clearance we discovered many empty gin bottles piled up underneath the overgrowth and added them to a recycling box! We didn't beat around the bush and mission was well accomplished and appreciated! 😊👍🏼👏🏼🌿

We ended the afternoon with a quick tour for David the tourist to show him that Kingston's Out of Order phoneboxes do exist!
