Ivy got a feeling it’s someone’s birthday!
9 GoodGymers made their way to help the Springvale Tenants & Residents Association in Hammersmith and Fulham.

Yay! What a Saturday! Gorgeous weather...check, excellent company...check, great task...check, and we even had a birthday (Happy Birthday Lucy!), which meant cake as well, check and check!
Nine GoodGymers joined together at the Springvale Tenants and Residents community garden to continue the good work we had started last week. Since our last visit, a new fence had been put up which looked lovely, especially with all the weeding, trimming and uprooting of trees that had taken place the previous week. This time we were asked to get rid of the existing ivy in preparation for the rest of the fence and trellis to be replaced, to clear all the weeds along the side of the community centre and to clear everything at the bottom of the garden. We set to work, and although a massive task we made great progress (check out the pictures!).

We even had time to don our party hats and join together in a beautiful chorus to wish our wonderfully weird pal, Lucy a Happy 28th Birthday! Massive thanks to Bernie who, whilst working alongside us, kept us fed and watered and made sure we had all the equipment we needed to to a cracking job. A sunny afternoon well spent and another good deed done.
