After several years without an event, the Coryton Primary School PTA decided to go all out for the 2022 Autumn Fete and asked GoodGym for help. A small but perfectly formed group comprised of Fiona and I set out to help.

Organised with military precision and with the aid of a detailed map of what went where, we set about helping. First up, we set up the table for 'Jolly Jars' - children had been asked to fill a cup with sweets and toys for a £1 a go lucky dip. It was clear that the children had put lots of effort into the jars and the bright anc olourful collection looked great!

Next up - sorting through the bric a brac and attempting to bring some order to the mix of puzzles, wall art, dolls (including a curvy Barbie) and books. Lots of bargains ready to be had!

Onto the pony pen - installing poles into the ground with ribbon to provide a mini enclosure for the ponies arriving in time for the fete. Two more tasks to go - sort the drinks table and put up the bunting.

We joined the PTA for a quick cuppa before wishing them well for the afternoon ahead, resisting the temptation of the cake stall. Fingers crossed that the weather is kind this afternoon!
