Report written by Jonny Carter
Tonight was a rather wet evening, however we still had a remarkable eight runners ready to do some good!
Luckily tonight’s task was indoors! We set off to the Mission with John the front marker and Rob the back. On arrival we were all put in the kitchen, some washing up, some plating up and passing the food out to be served. Due too the slightly low numbers even I helped with the task, on a ‘conveyor belt’ between Will and Karin plating up the food. If you hadn’t have guessed that’s were this weeks pun came from!
Once done it was hill work time! Six minutes of the Kenyan variety tonight. Tough work those are. John sprung to the front, looking very spritely after apparently consuming two carb heavy meals before the run. Rob powered up in his hood, looking like Kenny from South Park! Fiona and Laura pushed hard, the latter having a race up the last hill with Sam and Will and Karin put in another good shift.
Once done as the rain had abated somewhat we took a longer route back along the canal onto the Soho Loop and back to 1000 trades, just as the rain got heavy once again.
Next week we will be out doing good again, it would be great if you could join us sign up here.
