10 of us met at Flirt Cafe today and we welcomed Nicole to her first group run! Hoooraaaay!!!! Welcome Nicole click here to show her some love! We hope you had a good time and will join us again soon!

We were supposed to go and do some rooftop gardening but we had to change our plans and as a result ended up helping out a little community cafe in Churchill Gardens. A very deprived area of Boscombe, and the cafe will be a nice meeting point for local people to bring their kids, play, catch up and hopefully brighten up the neighbourhood!

The lovely Becky was our task leader and she quickly let us know what needed to be done. Andrea, Ross and Nicole swiftly got about sweeping all the leaves outside....and there were loads! Awesome teamwork guys! They even managed to sweep away a lot of the clay and mud on the ground!

Daryl was tasked with cleaning the paint off the windows and did a great job with a smile on his face!

Neil and Andrew painted one wall and managed to stay out of eachothers way...and hardly got any paint on them either...no idea how they managed that....perhaps paintors in a previous life???

Caprice took on the challenge of wiping down the tiles in the W.C....and probably enjoyed the tranquility in there.

Steph did some elevated sanding and finished with a good shoulder and arm workout as a result!

With only a couple minutes left we all put our foot on the gas to make sure we finished our set tasks and managed to do so! Brilliant work! And it was so nice to be working in an environment with some light.....Ross, Andrea and Nicole spent most of their time outdoors...but they did have Andrea's head torch which was like a lighthouse beam!! So powerful!! I'm a bit jealous!

On our way back we headed for the beach promenade and briefly had a chat about our arm drive and how important it is to try and not let our arms cross the midline of our body...in preparation for some intervals.

I thought we would have a split group for the intervals but when I gave the starting signal the whole group pushed ahead and it was great to see how peer pressure can make you push a bit more hahahahhahaha. They did really well and it's such a fun and friendly group. I'm very lucky to be a part of it.

Well done everyone, it was a tough run this evening and the stretch at the end felt great!!! Next week we're doing something for the first time and that is visiting Bournemouth Foodbank.

Enjoy your week everyone!!
